Chido is the practice of Vincent Chido King, Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt — and the interconnected system of consulting, training, digital products and coaching built around one idea: measurable improvement that lasts.

The short version

I'm Vincent Chido King — Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, transformation consultant, analyst, developer and entrepreneur, based in the UK. I've spent my career helping organisations fix broken processes, strengthen operational performance, and build digital systems that actually support the work — from NHS teams to logistics operations, SMEs and digital-first businesses.

My background spans business operations, service delivery, digital optimisation and organisational development. What ties it all together is a commitment to clarity, simplicity, and measurable results.

What ChIDO means

ChIDO is the Centre 4 Internet Design & Operations — created to bring together two worlds that rarely meet: digital design clarity and operational excellence. Most consultancies do one or the other. The problems worth solving almost always need both: a process that works on paper still fails if the system behind it fights the people running it.

I believe most problems in organisations aren't caused by people — they're caused by processes. When workflows are unclear, inconsistent or overloaded, even the best teams struggle. When processes are designed well, people thrive: work becomes smoother, decisions become easier, and customers feel the difference.

Why I collect degrees

I love studying, and I've never stopped. But it was never about the paper. Every degree I've taken has been for the same reason: to learn how things actually work — and just as importantly, how they are expected to run when they're done right.

That distinction matters in my trade. You cannot see waste in a process until you understand what the process should look like without it. You cannot challenge how an operation runs until you understand the discipline it's supposed to follow. Each qualification is another lens: another field's way of defining 'done properly'.

It's also how I build the right skill mix for first time right. Quality at the source — the Lean principle that work should be done correctly the first time rather than inspected and corrected afterwards — demands that the person doing the work genuinely understands it. I apply that standard to myself before I ever apply it to a client's process: learn the discipline deeply, understand how it's expected to run, and only then improve it.

That's how an engineer ends up with a law degree, a security master's, and a nursing degree in progress. Each one is a different answer to the same question: how is this supposed to run when it's run right?

How obligations, risk and governance are expected to run. Every process operates inside a framework of duties and consequences — reading that framework fluently changes how you design the process.

BSc · in progress Adult Nursing

Currently studying. The NHS transformation work taught me to map clinical pathways from the outside; nursing teaches them from the inside — how care is expected to run at the bedside, where first time right matters most of all.

Six Sigma's famous benchmark is 3.4 defects per million opportunities. Few organisations need to reach it; every organisation benefits from knowing where they stand and moving with discipline in that direction.
