Website health check · £49
Is your website quietly letting you down?
You cannot see your site the way a stranger's phone does. We can, from the outside, and we tell you in plain English what to fix first.
A plain English report on your website within the hour, with what to do about every finding. If we cannot reach your site, your money comes back automatically.
What a stranger sees that you do not
- You open your site on fast office wifi.Your customers open it on a phone, on a bus, with one bar of signal.
- You know your emails are really from you.Anyone else can send one in your name, unless three records are set.
- You see your pages.Search engines see your titles and settings, and sometimes a sign telling them to keep out.
- You clicked Accept on your own cookie banner long ago.The question is whether tracking starts before your visitors do.
What we check, in five areas
Speed
Google's Lighthouse times your home page on a simulated phone: its speed score, how long the main content takes to appear, whether things jump about, and its accessibility score.
Security
Your secure connection (https), your certificate and when it runs out, your encryption version, and six security headers that tell browsers how to protect your visitors.
Email forgery
Your SPF, DKIM and DMARC records: whether someone else can send email that looks like it comes from you.
Search basics
Your title, description, main heading, phone setting, canonical address, robots.txt, sitemap, and anything telling search engines to stay away.
Cookies and other companies
The cookies your home page sets before anyone agrees, and the other companies your page loads, such as analytics, advertising and fonts.
What you get
A private report page, ordered by what to fix first. Every finding says what we saw, why it matters, and ends with what to do. Here are two from our example report, for a made-up bakery:
Fix firstSpeed
Your home page is slow on a phone
Google's Lighthouse scored its speed 41 out of 100, on a simulated mid range phone. The main content took 6.2 seconds to appear. The page and everything it loads came to 4.2 MB. People on a phone often leave a page that keeps them waiting.
What to do: Make the largest picture at the top smaller (save it as WebP, sized for a phone screen), and load less code before the page appears. Run your address at pagespeed.web.dev to see Lighthouse's own list of the heaviest files.
Would you rather someone did this for you? Our website service can.
Fix firstEmail forgery
Anyone can send email that looks like it comes from you
There is no DMARC record, so mail services have no instruction to refuse fakes sent in your name. A fake invoice from your address would look real.
What to do: Add a TXT record named _dmarc at your domain company. Start with "v=DMARC1; p=none; rua=mailto:" and your address to receive reports, then move to p=quarantine and then p=reject once your real email passes.

Questions
What do you need from me?
Your website's address, and an email address for the link to your report. No passwords, no access to your site, nothing to install.
Is it safe to run on my site?
Yes. The check is passive: it loads your home page, robots.txt and sitemap the way a visitor's browser would, asks Google's Lighthouse to time the page, and reads public records about your domain. It never signs in, fills in forms or tests for weaknesses, and nothing on your site changes.
How quickly do I get it?
Usually within a few minutes of paying, and within the hour. If your site does not answer, we try again 20 minutes later. If it still does not answer, we refund you in full, automatically, and email you to say so.
Will it get me more customers, or a higher place in Google?
We cannot promise that, and nobody honest can. The report tells you what it measured and what to do about each finding. What you do next is up to you.
Can I cancel?
You have 14 days to cancel an online order, but because you ask us to start straight away, that right ends once your report is delivered. If we cannot check your site, you get your money back automatically.
Does an AI read my details or write my report?
No. Every sentence in the report was written in advance for each finding, and is filled in with your site's figures. No AI reads your email address or your report.
Who sees my report?
Anyone with its private link. We send the link to you alone, and we never publish it. It works for 90 days.
Who are you?
Chido is run by Vincent Chido King, a sole trader in the United Kingdom. Payment is taken by Stripe; we never see your card.
What it does not do
- It looks only at your home page, plus your robots.txt, sitemap and public email records.
- It reads your page as it arrives; apart from Lighthouse, it does not run the page's code as a browser does, so cookies set by scripts are not seen.
- Lighthouse is run for us by Google's PageSpeed Insights. If Google does not answer in time, the report says so and gives our own server's timing instead.
- It never signs in, fills in forms or tests for weaknesses. It is not a security test, and it is not legal advice.
- It does not tell you where you rank in search results, and fixing what it finds does not promise any ranking.
