Once your domain and hosting is active with the DNS set appropriately, then it is recommended that you setup any email addresses that may the users of your system may require as well as general email addresses for some specific business activities.

Chances are that you will be using webmail to read and send mail though you can choose to install mail clients on your box or mobile devices for a more detailed management.

*Most email problems reported are due to mail client misconfigurations and SPAM

At this time you should also have FTP access (details from your webhost, your developer should know!). You can either use an FTP client or simply use your browser to browse the FTP site.
